Year 11 Society & Culture Excursion

On Tuesday 25 October, the Year 11 Society and Culture class, caught the train from Broadmeadow Station to Sydney, in order to attend the Society and Culture Personal Interest Project (PIP) Day at the Wesley Centre, Pitt Street.

The day is popular and is run by the Society and Culture Association NSW. We had a range of guest speakers, including a past student, who explained the whole process of creating a Personal Interest Project. The PIP is worth 40% of the external HSC mark for Society and Culture.

The students were also treated to a live performance from Morganics, an Australian Rap and Hip Hop Artist, Thorn, who is Rap and Graffiti Artist and Digby, who is a Rap dancer and Rap Artist with Down Syndrome.

The day was wrapped up by a panel of students who shared their ideas for their Personal Interest Project.

It was a thoroughly informative and enjoyable day. - Miss Creed
