Year 7’s action packed camp began with a bus and a ferry ride to Broken Bay Sport and Rec Camp on the Hawkesbury River. Despite a very wet forecast God’s grace saw the students enjoy all the activities that had been programmed. This included archery, damper making, beach activities, raft building challenges, abseiling and a challenging high ropes course. At night we were involved in a number of fun activities. Each day was packed with a variety of things to do. Our camp coordinator, ‘Hammo” made sure everyone had the opportunity to challenge themselves. Being in an isolated spot we saw some unusual wildlife, including Brush Turkeys and Goannas up close. We discovered that Mrs Coates does not like Brush Turkeys!
