New Head of Secondary - Mr Malcolm East

Posted in News on Feb 08, 2017

It is with great pleasure that we introduce our new Head of Secondary, Mr Malcolm East, who is joining us from St Philip’s Christian College Gosford where he has been serving in the capacity of Deputy Principal. “I look forward to getting to know each of you and seeing what God will achieve as I commence in this role this year. By way of introduction, I began my teaching career at the Newcastle campus of St. Philip’s Christian College and in recent years have served at the Gosford campus. I have quite a varied teaching experience, having taught from Kindergarten to Year 12 in a variety of subject areas, from ICT to Ancient History and in specialisations such as ICT integration and boys education. I also have a range of leadership experience including Deputy Principal, Head of Senior School, Head of Junior School and Director of Teaching and Learning. I am really looking forward to working closer to home and have been delighted with the warm welcome I have already received from the Hunter Christian School staff. I’m keen to meet our students and see them grow in their God given talents and dreams as they progress through 2017. Secondary parents can expect to hear more from me in the coming days when I write to you regarding my vision for the secondary school and important information for the year ahead.
